Executive Sous Chef
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, creative and detail-oriented Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team.
The successful candidate will support the Executive Chef in leading the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, team performance and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in the overall leadership and daily operation of the resort kitchen.
- Lead and supervise kitchen teams across outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient food production and service.
- Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, taste and portion control.
- Plan and coordinate daily menus, specials, functions, weddings and other resort events.
- Monitor food costs, wastage, portion control and kitchen productivity to support budget targets.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP and workplace health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections and ensure equipment, work areas and storage facilities are maintained to standard.
- Coach, train and develop Chefs and kitchen Hosts, building a strong and motivated culinary team.
- Work closely with F&B, Purchasing, Stewarding and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Act as the Executive Chef's delegate when required and provide leadership and support to the culinary operation in their absence.
