Job Description
Background :
A Lecturer is qualified to Masters’ level (FQF level 9) and has expertise in a particular subject which is taught proficiently at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level programmes (up to level 8). A Lecturer is research-active and is beginning to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals. A Lecturer is involved in the work of their Department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to function.
Person Specification :
Essential :
Master’s in Journalism, Media Studies, Communication or relevant field (FQF level 9)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching/work experience OR
Research-active: evidence of work published in peer-reviewed journals.
Desirable :
Demonstrable evidence of quality teaching
Clear evidence of good teaching performance
