? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive business growth by developing and executing commercial and sales strategies that achieve revenue, gross profit, and market share targets across Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and integrated logistics services.
Lead business development initiatives by identifying new market opportunities, securing strategic accounts, managing tenders and contract negotiations, and expanding CEVA's presence across key industry sectors.
Strengthen customer relationships through effective key account management, service reviews, customer retention strategies, and the identification of cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Lead and develop the Commercial Team by setting clear KPIs, coaching and mentoring staff, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Manage commercial performance by monitoring sales pipelines, forecasts, revenue, gross profit, customer profitability, and pricing strategies while providing regular performance reporting and business insights to senior management.
Collaborate across functions with Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experience.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities, recommend strategic initiatives, and enhance CEVA's competitive position within the Fiji logistics market.
Stakeholder management by building strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, and overseas agents including negotiation of freight rates and secure agents and service space allocation.
? ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in senior commercial, business development, sales management, or logistics leadership role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Proven track record of achieving revenue growth, securing new business, managing key accounts, and delivering commercial results.
Strong understanding of Ocean Freight, Air Freight, freight forwarding, supply chain solutions, pricing strategies, and customer relationship management.
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing, coaching, and developing high-performing commercial or sales teams.
Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability, financial management, and strategic planning skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
